When I was in middle school, I remember hearing Taylor swift singing about being 22 and thinking {I’ll have my life all put together by then}… ya know because 21 is the year to have fun, but 22 just.. has a different vibe to it.

I turn 22 in about a week, which means it's time for me to start looking for a big girl job and pay big girl taxes, get a big girl apartment.. the whole 9 yards.

That means that my life is about to quite literally flip upside down--everything that I know, is about to change. My job, my friendships, my relationship, my Tuesday nights…

I simply can’t imagine the day that I won’t have all of my best friends living under the same roof….. pretty soon, I’ll be lucky if they are even in the same state.

At 22, everything chances within a year. You go from having the time of your life in college, to a cubicle... Don’t get me wrong, I am excited about some things— like getting to finally live with my boyfriend, or getting to decorate a whole apartment on my own.

But Im not ready to give up my drunk Tuesday nights playing trivia, or living with 18 of my best friends, or going to frat parties just because my younger friends beg me to, or skipping class to go on a coffee date instead. I’m just not ready to grow up and be boring and do all the adult things that nobody wants to do

So I guess Taylor swift was right after all… We're happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time… it’s miserable and magical…. Yea
